Volunteers Needed!
Since the Solomon Hilton Baha'i School has no paid staff, there will be lots of opportunities for service. Volunteers may be needed for as little as an hour or as much as eight (8) hours of service throughout the school session. Listed below are
just a few ways in which you might be of service.

| Parking Guides |
|
Greet Baha’is at the entrance to Surprise Lake Camp
Write their names or check them off of a list
Guide them to parking spaces arranged by length of stay
Direct them to place their luggage in the pickup truck and
Walk over to the teen side to their cabin if they have pre-registered,
or to pick it up and register to get their cabin assignment.

Registrar Assistants
|
|
Work with School Registrar to:
Register people who are not pre-registered
Distribute registration materials
Assign guests to friendship groups
Escort guests to their cabins.

|
|
Lakefront-Certified Lifeguard
|
|
Provide lifeguard services and swim tests to swimmers. |
|
|
|
| Nurse/medical personnel |
|
Provide on-call service if someone has a minor injury, bug bite, sunburn, etc.
|
|
|
|
Canteen Assistants
|
|
Sell snacks during free time periods
|
|
|
|
Bookstore Assistants
|
|
Sell literature during selected times.
|
|
|
|
Clean up crew
|
|
Pass out snacks in the afternoon. Check cabins after summer school is finished and do any necessary cleaning
|
|
|
|
| Equipment distributor/clean up crew |
|
Maintain an inventory record of sports equipment. Distribute sports equipment from the dining hall during morning and afternoon free time. Check cabins after summer school is finished and do any necessary cleaning |

|
Recreation helpers/ clean up crew
|
|
Assist the Recreation Coordinator (Colin Ruhe) to guide children/youth as they play games for 45 min. on Friday and Saturday afternoons when their classes have ended and the adult workshops are still in session until their parents can pick them up or join them. Available games are volleyball, baseball, hikes, etc.
